Whitby Seafoods scoop Gold Award with packaging redesign

Packaging Automation customer Whitby Seafoods recently scooped a Gold Award in the Design Business Association : Design Effectiveness Awards.

In 2019, Whitby relaunched their range using board based packaging looking to reduced plastic use by 85% and making the majority of the pack recyclable. Whitby Seafoods reported that consumer reactions to the design have been incredibly positive and now the new packaging has been recognised industry-wide with Whitby Seafoods winning the 2020 Grocer NPD award in the meat, fish and poultry category for their sustainable packaging.
