Project Team expertise comes from long time team members with in depth knowledge of our machinery having joined the business as apprentices and developed their skills over many years, balanced with those who have worked on the front line in food manufacturing companies and offer an ‘end-user’ perspective. Jo Porter – Project Manager
Jo leads the Project Team and has 20 years’ experience of food manufacturing and a background in managing major capital investment projects.
Jo joined PA in 2017 to develop the turnkey project offering and stepped into the leadership role at the start of 2019.
Greg Simpson – Project Engineer (Export)
Working primarily with our Agents and Distributors, Greg is responsible for the majority of the equipment destined for factories around the world, having built mutually beneficial relationships with our contacts abroad.
Greg joined PA in 2002 as an Electrical Apprentice joining the Projects Team in 2012.
His understanding of our high speed inline machines is unrivalled!
Matt Harris – Project Engineer (Third Party)
Another former PA customer, Matt has worked across a number of food industry sectors and has delivered projects working with annual budgets of +£5m.
Matt joined the company in early 2020.
He is an excellent problem solver, and can always find a solution, whatever the challenge!
Steve Brocklehurst – Project Engineer
Steve is an experienced Project Engineer with a job history spanning several sectors, including the food industry.
Steve joined the team at the start of 2020 and is our resident MiWeigh expert!
Mark Astill – Project Engineer
A qualified electrician, Mark has excellent knowledge of our product range having built them for many years!
Having originally joined PA in 2014 as a member of the shop floor assembly team,
Mark joined the Projects Team in 2020.
Nick Brindley – Project Co-ordinator
One of our longest serving team members, Nick joined PA in 1988, and has had a variety of different roles over the years.
Nick has been a member of the Projects team since 2005 and is PA’s resident expert on advent calendars, and multi-cavity tray sealing for bespoke applications.
Shirley Ollier – Projects Team Administrator
The unseen support that keeps the team on track,
Shirley joined PA in 2005, and provides both us and you with any number of requests, including documentation and certificates. If you need duplicate copies of your manuals, training certificates, or despatch notes, or need to provide additional shipping details, Shirley can organise this for you. She also organises our transportation and logistics. Working closely with Greg, Shirley arranges the secure packing of your machinery, appropriate method of freight, and the co-ordination of relevant documentation for our global supply chain.
Deon Wilson – Delivery Driver
Deon is our very own team Santa Claus, bringing you the gift of new machinery!
Having joined PA in 1989, Deon has worked in several departments across the business as it grew into the company you see today.
As an experienced driver, when he is not on the road Deon trains up the apprentices and wider business on the safest way to load and unload our machinery, and how to secure the load in the vehicle.
