Coronavirus - PA are proud to support the food industry

Packaging Automation remains operational with all staff fully employed, I am pleased to report that we have not furloughed any of the team. Our priority during this period is the health, safety and wellbeing of our customers, our partners, our employees and the communities we work within.

The government has continually outlined that every effort should be made across society to minimise social contact in order to slow the spread of the virus. In response to this we have, as a company, adapted and changed the way we operate internally to keep our business working as close to normal as possible and limit any impact to our customers.

Our service and spares team are continuing to provide support to customers in the usual manner. This includes attending site to fulfil all our usual activities – breakdown, service work and installations. The team will work with you to provide engineers out of normal working hours and around your production demands during this challenging period.

Engineers attending customer sites will observe site specific safety guidelines and in addition have been provided with PPE and instructed to observe safe social distancing.

I am immensely proud of the team in the factory, they are working incredibly hard to meet the needs of our customers, with engineers working split shifts and weekends to achieve unprecedented short lead times on new machinery orders. Our fleet of hire machines has been assessed with a range of machines ready to dispatch in days to satisfy urgent requirements and we are able to accept new customer orders for machines, tools and spare parts.

I am confident in our preparation and contingency planning for situations such as this and remain committed to providing the service and support that you need throughout this situation.
