July has been quite a whirlwind to say the least and the 7th July was a spectacularly good day! Not only did England beat Denmark to secure a place in the Euro2020 final but we had the opportunity to welcome BBC Breakfast News to Packaging Automation when they broadcast live from the factory and interview not only MD Neil Ashton but also Tanya Westenraad, Engineering Design Manager and Leigh Farley, Machine Operator.

New Starters
We welcomed 3 more new starters during July:
· Carole Owens – Finance Assistant joined the Accounts team from 28th
· Jason Butler – joined Tool Assembly on 19th July (his dad is a Tool Designer)
· Nigel Hartley – joined the Mechanical Assembly team on 12th July
We also have 3 children of Managers working as temps during the school holidays:
· Tom Bridge – Son of James Bridge
· Jack Wright – Son of Jayne Thompson
· Ray Goldthorpe -Son of Jo Porter
Apprentice Recruitment
Second interviews took place on 6th July and we’ll be updating you very soon with details of our latest cohort of Apprentices.
Vacancies
We are currently recruiting three Service Engineers to join our Service Team to support with the expansion programme.
Machines
July was another busy month for the Projects Team with machines being dispatched throughout the UK and globally. Here’s just a few that were dispatched during July which included: MiWeigh and the Revolution. #mushroomtraysealer #cranberrytraysealer
In other news…
Ian Mayo, Manufacturing Manager, became a dad for the second time welcoming a son, called Max, born on 4th July. Congratulations Ian!
