December News Round-up

Updated: Jan 20, 2022

Christmas arrived at Packaging Automation in December, but as seasonal festivities began it was essentially business as usual as we continued to support our customers #puttingourcustomersfirst and our team.

Here’s a quick recap of what happened this month at Packaging Automation….

Exceptional Employee of the Year 2021

Ashley Hunt, Systems Engineer was awarded Annual Exceptional Employee of the Year in recognition of his outstanding effort and support in stepping in to cover on-call service at short notice to meet customer needs during a very busy period. Well done, Ashley!

We would also like to say well done to the quarterly winners in 2021 – Paul Butler, Beth Greenway and Andy Wardell.

New Starters

We had three new starters join #TeamPA this month:

· Jenny Whitney – Sales Ledger

· Quentin Wylie – Graduate Sales Engineer

· Sharon Warner – Finance Assistant

Welcome to the team !

Apprentices

We remain committed to the recruitment of apprentices to our Packaging Automation Apprenticeship Scheme which combines formal training, further education / professional qualifications with on-the-job training.

In December 2021, our current apprentices received certificates for their academic achievements so far.

Training

Congratulations go to Sarah Morgado this month who has received her certificate for completing a level 1 qualification in Mental Health Awareness #TeamPA #packagingautomation #mentalhealthmatters #personaldevelopment

Machines

You would be forgiven for thinking that December is all about Christmas festivities and whilst we were not short on festive cheer we still had machines, conveyors and tooling to get to customers, as always the Projects Team didn’t fail to deliver.

Keeping staff Christmas gifts a surprise, was harder than we thought!

Ten pin bowling was the team building activity of choice in December for the Design Team with Si taking home the trophy #teambuilding #TeamPA #PackagingAutomation #FestiveFun

Once again, this year our brilliant #TeamPA supported a local charity, the David Lewis Centre, by donating selection boxes for Christmas – well done everyone.

And of course, Willow the office dog was not left out, Willow joined in with the Christmas festivities too.

We will continue to bring you all the latest news from #TeamPA again in January but until then … feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
